During your stay in Nancy, you will have to keep pace with the numerous associations that exist in ICN Business School. We hope that you will be interested in one of them and that you will be glad to participate by subscribing for example, to the different sports suggested by the BDS "Board of Sports". Last year, some international students subscribed to rugby and volleyball and were really well-integrated with French Students. So do not miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! If you do not really like sports, do not worry. Our Business School also suggests other activities such as theatre play, music sessions, wine degustation, cooking lessons, fashion show, meetings with real entrepreneurs or business men, jam session and so more...
The Board of Sports in ICN gives you the amazing opportunity to practise sportive activities with ICN French students. The various sports you can take part in are so numerous that I'm definitely sure you will find the one for you! If you want, you will then be able to subscribe to competitions which are either on a regional or national's point of view. If you want more information on a point that may not be clear for you, you can directly ask them at their office which is located next to the cafeteria behind the blue-coloured door.
They provide weekly trainings for every students in these following team sports: Football/soccer, Handball, Rugby XV, Volleyball and Basketball. Its subscription is only 50€/year!
They also give you the possibility to practice individual sports such as: Tennis, Badminton, Fitness, Table Tennis, Gymnastics, horse-riding. However, its subscription is a little bit higher, around 100€/year.
Each year, the ICN Business School participates to major competitions and tournaments.
The most two important are:
- « Coupe de France des ESC » (French Business School National Cup) : this is a unique opportunity to meet students like you from all over France and to visit new cities.
- The Challenge Ecricome : it was a Tournament that gathered 5 Business Schools (the ones of Marseille, Rouen, Reims, Bordeaux and of course Nancy). Last year, it took place in Nancy. It was organized in March, and will be held this year in Rouen.
If you are interested in participating to any of these fabulous sportive competitions, you just have to come to their local to pay your subscription. Their office hours are organized everyday at lunch time from 12 pm to 2 pm and in the afternoon, from 4 pm to 6 pm, so it will be really easy for you to find a free time to get there!
Subscription fees: Training + Competition = 32 €
The Board of Students organizes and harmonizes all the work of the associations together, and it manages other big tasks. You can find their office next to the cafeteria behind the blue door.
Their activities which you will see is the monthly big party they organize: The F.D.H (or Forêt de Haye in french): It is a very big party outside of Nancy. Buses will take you there and also bring you back. ( Meeting point : place Carnot ) The price is usually between 16€ to 21€. To go to these parties you have to pay at the student boards and to choose a bus to go there ( there is one every 30 minutes starting at 7pm) To come back from such parties, there are buses every 30 minutes starting 1am.
The main objectives of the Board of Arts are to develop your creative thinking and to reveal your secret artistic talents!
Many activities are organized such as Jumbee, Theater, Singing, Drawing, Watching movies, Nails art for girls and etc...
They also can suggest you some special prices to different events and activities in Nancy such as opera sessions, theatre plays and etc.
Subscription fees: 15€/year and 8€/semester.
Like the organization of the BDS, the BDA does also have a competition in Arts which is called the Art Trophy "Le Trophée des Arts" and last year it took place in Barcelona from April 11th to April 13th.
There are 50 different associations in ICN, So you can basically do anything with those. There is almost two party organized by week by this associations but also breakfast, lunch, activities etc.
